Always
Moving
Forward.
FreeFly was founded on one belief: that getting around shouldn’t cost a thing. We’re building Boston’s first zero-fare electric micro-transit network — funded by the organizations that benefit most from connected communities.
Transit Shouldn’t Be a Privilege.
Every day, people miss appointments, skip errands, and lose opportunities because the last mile between them and their destination is too inconvenient, too expensive, or simply doesn’t exist.
FreeFly was incorporated in Massachusetts in December 2025 with a simple fix: make the ride free. We fund operations through zone sponsorships — partnerships with businesses and organizations that want to connect their community without adding to the burden on riders.
The result is a transit model where everyone wins: riders get free, clean, reliable transportation. Sponsors get community goodwill, brand presence, and measurable impact. And Boston gets one step closer to the future it deserves.
Our Principles.
Access for All
Zero fares means zero barriers. FreeFly operates on the belief that mobility is a right, not a luxury. Every ride is free to every rider, always.
100% Electric
Our fleet runs exclusively on electricity. Zero emissions, zero noise pollution. Every FreeFly ride is a vote for the environment.
Community First
We build zones around the communities that need them most — working closely with local businesses, institutions, and neighbors to design routes that actually matter.
Transparent by Design
Our sponsors receive monthly performance data. Our riders can see exactly who funds their ride. Accountability is baked into how we operate.
Built for the Last Mile.
FreeFly operates the GEM E6 — a purpose-built, street-legal electric shuttle designed for short-range, high-frequency urban and campus routes. It’s clean, comfortable, and built to move communities.
Boston Is Just the Beginning.
FreeFly launched in Boston, Massachusetts — one of America’s most walkable but also most transit-constrained metros. We’re focused on the gaps that public transit doesn’t fill: parking garages to front doors, campuses to transit hubs, senior facilities to essential services.
Our pilot zones are launching across Greater Boston in 2026, with an expansion roadmap that follows demand. If your community needs FreeFly, we want to hear from you.
Ride Free. Ride Green.
Whether you want to ride, partner as a sponsor, or just follow our journey — we’d love to connect.
