Is FreeFly really free to ride?
Yes — completely. No fare, no subscription, no tip. FreeFly is funded entirely by zone sponsorships. Riders always ride free.
Where does FreeFly operate?
Pilot zones are launching in Greater Boston in 2026. Availability depends on where sponsors have established service. Join the waitlist to be notified when a zone near you goes live.
How do I request a ride?
Once your zone is live, rides are requested through our dispatch system. We’ll send full instructions when your zone launches. Sign up for the waitlist to stay in the loop.
How does zone sponsorship work?
Sponsors pay a monthly fee to establish and operate a transit zone. FreeFly manages all operations. Sponsors receive monthly performance reports with ride counts and rider satisfaction data.
Is advertising included in sponsorship?
No — advertising is separate. Zone sponsorship covers the transit service only. Vehicle wraps and digital screens are an optional add-on, sold independently from sponsorship.
What vehicle does FreeFly use?
The GEM E6 — a 6-passenger, street-legal electric shuttle. 100% electric, zero emissions, built for last-mile community transit.
